Kilgore Falls / The Falling Branch area is the home to Maryland's second highest vertical drop waterfall!
Trail is short and kid friendly!

You must cross over a shallow stream to get to the falls. I suggest boots or water shoes. We had boots but for whatever reason didn’t put them on.

Parking lot is small and requires a parking permit from Memorial Day to Labor Day. The permit is free.

The water is tested for possible contamination and Swimming is allowed!

I really like that the water was so shallow by the falls and I could let the kids explore without worrying too much.
